Cookies the site needs
When you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in. A cookie called mw-consent remembers your cookie choice for six months, so the question is not asked on every page. Neither is used for analytics or advertising.
Analytics cookies
Only if you choose Accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used and how. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_followed by our property code; they hold a random identifier that tells one visit from another, never your name or email address. We set them to expire after six months. Google keeps the resulting usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, and an approximate region — for the retention period of our Analytics property, which is Google’s default of two months. Advertising features, Google Signals and user identifiers are switched off. If you choose Only necessary, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is stored for analytics. You can withdraw at any time: open Cookie settings at the bottom of any public page (or in the account menu once signed in) and choose Only necessary — the analytics cookies are deleted and the script is no longer loaded. Analytics never runs on the sign-in pages or the administration area. The same rules apply wherever you are, in Europe, the UAE or elsewhere.
